DOT sells information....In place in Wisconsin since 2000, the Driver Privacy Protection Act only goes as far as Wisconsin motorists allow.
When people go to the DMV to get or renew their driver's license, the form will ask them if they would like to have their name/address withheld from the lists the department sells. Check the DOT website for the latest and most current hours of operation. NOTE: DMV HOURS WILL CHANGE AGAIN the DMV hours in Peshtigo were, effective January 1st 2010, TU, TH and F, 7:00am - 5:00pm. NOW HOURS for the Peshtigo and Oconto DMV’s will be beginning January 23, 2012 Peshtigo DMV will be open from 7 am – 5 pm on Monday’s and Wednesday’s (fewer open hours). In Oconto there are big changes coming. On January 24, 2012 a new office will be open. The office will be located at 1008 Pecor St. Hours for Oconto will be greatly expanded. Open hours will be from 7 am – 5 pm on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s. Visit WI DOT's website for more detailed information regarding all questions you may have, including when are their furlough days. and go down to your local DMV center if you do not hold a vaild license to temps test. You will need 80% or better to pass and get your instruction permit. There are 15 signs and 50 knowledge multiple choice questions on the permit test. |

| As always, Albright sessions are open for all students, Marinette High School Students, Peshtigo High School Students, Central, Oconto, Coleman, Suring….. Home schooled students, etc.. Albright is not hired through the Marinette School District or the Oconto School District; we are simply renting a classroom at these locations. All questions must be directed to Albright Driving School not Marinette High School or Oconto High School. Enrollment is on a first come basis. To enroll, send full tuition or the first amount of tuition to W1898 Co Rd B, Marinette, WI 54143. The paperwork will be done the first day of class along with your receipt for payment given. I do not call to confirm enrollment, you may call if need be. Albright will and has added sessions per student request. |

Albright Driving School tried offering driver’s instruction at Marinette High School during student study hall periods, there is no interest. Student does not receive student course credit or a tuition discount if classroom is taken during school hours. Students cannot change their study hall periods because of Albright.

Include with payment, student's name and what session enrolling in. Only upon Albright receiving your payment will you be placed on the enrollment list. The paperwork and receipt will be done/given the first class session. Albright does not call you to confirm your name on the list. Once you have sent the check, you may call if you need to confirm, otherwise just know that I have received your check and that your name is on the enrollment list. | NEW Wausaukee area session to begin June 4th, 2012 |
| Albright will be instructing driver's ed at Wausaukee High School beginning Monday June 4th, 2012 We will meet every day M - F for three weeks. Class time is pending WHS approval, could be 1 - 3pm. Students can begin driver training at 14 years 11 months old. This session is open to all area students. Enroll now. Check back here for more updates. |

| In Session now. We will meet M, TU and TH 3:30 - 5:30 for five weeks. The last day of class will be Thursday February 16th. Albright rents the classroom next to the choir room at MHS. |

| Under the age of 18, the State requirements are; 30 hours of classroom instruction, 6 hours of driving instruction & 6 hours of observation. |
You are also required to log 30 hours of practice driving, 10 of those hours must be at night.
Your Behind the Wheel, BW, instruction will begin after you pass the State written exam and
receive your Temporary Permit or Temps. Your Behind the Wheel instruction times can be scheduled
around your schedule, i.e. work schedules, sports activities, school activities ..etc. and will consist of
6, 2-hour lessons, to include 6 hours of driving and 6 hours of observation. If you miss your scheduled driving lesson, without 24 hours prior notice to Albright, you will be charged a $35.00 "no show" fee. Fee to be paid before you drive again. |

| RIP the 2001 PT Cruiser |
| My Cruiser was rear ended Feb 22nd 2011 by a Marinette man. Yes a student was driving it and reports that he is "fine". A student was in the backseat at the time and I have not heard his updated status. Both boys went to the ER and/or DR to get checked out. The total damage was $4200.00+. Car was "totaled". |

| Driving Schedules |
PICK UP AND DROP OFF IS AT THE BP GOLDEN SANDS GAS STATION NEAR NWTC.
NOTE: THE MARINETTE DMV has moved TO PESHTIGO AS OF JANUARY 30TH, 2006. LOCATED IN THE DNR BUILDING BEHIND THE HARLEY DAVIDSON SHOP JUST NORTH OF PESHTIGO, the address is 101 N Ogden Road. YOU MAY CALL ME IF YOU NEED MORE INFORMATION. Be sure to check out WI DOT website to be sure they are open the day you choose to go down. All their hours are listed on their website.
All Students: Please make note of your driving times. You are responsible for your driving time. If you are not able to make your driving time; call Mary as soon as possible. There is a $35.00 charge for “No Show”, 24 hour notice. Please be on time and have your ride pick you up on time. You must have your Permit with you to drive.
You may try and make your Driving Skills (or Road Test) appointment up to 11 weeks prior to the date you are eligible to go down to the DMV to take your Skills test. Most students are getting a Test Date/Time about 3 - 4 weeks out. Keep trying. The website is the WI DOT website. It is an Automated Road Test System (ARTS), you will need to follow prompts. Log on to the WI DOT website and click on schedule road test.
You may take a one-hour refresher prior to your driving skills test if you call Albright and schedule ahead of time. There is a charge for the refresher hour. Please continue to practice so you won’t need to take that additional refresher hour. Be sure to log your 30 hours of practice driving, 10 of which need to be at night. Take your log sheets with you to the road test. You may or may not need to show them. Put them in the back seat just in case they ask to see them.
Remember to do every shoulder check every time the front of your car changes direction. Watch your speed control, check your mirrors every 6 to 8 seconds. Backing speed is a “slow walk”. When you stop, feel the “nudge”, that way you have made a complete stop!! Stop where you are suppose to; the stop line or the crosswalk line (imaginary if there is not one painted on the roadway and there are sidewalks) or up to where the roads meet. RR crossings; controlled with lights cover the brake. Uncontrolled RR, with just the cross buck, put the brake on. Both crossings you must lean forward and look left, right, left. Practice as much as you can. Keep your 30-hour log sheet current. Be safe.
Bring your permit!
All Students remember.. the last tuition payment is due on or before the third lesson. If you have not paid your last amount on or before your third behind the wheel then you will not drive on your fourth lesson. Keep practicing and be sure to log your 30 hours; 10 of them at night. Log sheets in MVD handbook.
Practice your skills often. Be sure to log your hours! Please be safe.
No Show fee is $35.00 if you do not show up for your driving time. If you haven’t paid the entire tuition already, your last payment is due your third behind the wheel lesson. Please call if you have any questions or conflicts

Pickup and drop off is under the flag at the Golden Sands BP gas station near NWTC. Students can walk to the gas station. From MHS it is 1 mile, a ten min. walk. Albright will park under the flag, please do not park there. Be sure to make note of all your driving times. There is a $35.00 “no show” fee if you do not show or if you show without your driving permit (temps). Be sure to log your practice driving hours. You must show on the log sheet what you are working on, for example y-turns, correct stopping points 12 of each. Your next 20-30 min of practice might show 4 straight backing and 14 left turns and traffic lights. I will be looking at your log sheets, you must bring them the last two driving times for sure, if not all your driving times. You will need to get our signature on your log sheets prior to taking your road test.
If you can not make your driving time, please try and switch driving time/times with another Albright student. That way you keep all your six driving times. If you can not find someone then call me and cancel.

September/October 2011 MHS driving schedule

If MHS is canceled due to weather conditions we will not drive that day. No need to call. Just know that we will not drive and I will let you know when we can do a makeup time. Let me know if you switch your driving time with another Albright student. Don’t forget that your last payment is due your 3rd lesson. You will not drive your fourth lesson unless that payment is made (if this applies to you). 715-723-6010

Continue to practice what Albright teaches. Do your Y-turns, RR crossings, parl parks, pulling to and from the curb, remember your distances, watch your stopping points, do your shoulder checks, traffic checks, watch your hand position (3 & 9), practice hill parks (UCLA), set your parking brake (it is self-lubricating; be sure to ask Mom/Dad first), straight back “three houses”, back slow walk…. any questions call 715.732.6010

All Students:
Continue to practice all the skills we have taught you. Hand position is 3 and 9, Backing speed is a “slow walk”, look back over right shoulder while backing, “Signal, Look and then Moooove” every time you turn or change lanes, be sure you are in the rightmost portion of the road when turning right, stopping points.. stop line, crosswalk, and up to where the roads meet, do at least 5 Y-turns and parallel parks every week once we teach the procedure, log your practice hours, and do not hesitate to call me if you have any questions, 715-732-6010.
