Waive Road Test Information
See WISDOT.gov for all info about waiving your road test! Or to waive your road test
While this program is different than what has been done for many years, the DMV has determined that this is an appropriate pilot program given all the required training, practice hours, and GDL restrictions. This pilot will not become permanent unless there is a law passed changing these requirements.
How long will the road test waiver program be available?
The road test waiver program will run into 2021. Possibly all of 2021! This limited duration pilot will allow the DMV to measure any difference in outcomes between those receiving the waiver and those who take the road test. Those choosing the waiver may be informed that they may be subject to a road test even after licensure, if the DMV makes that determination.
For those of you who are planning on taking an actual Road Test. You may schedule it 11 weeks prior to the date you are eligible to Road Test. WISDOT.gov
For those of you who are not sure if the DOT will continue to waive the Road Test. Go to WISDOT.gov and schedule your Road Test and then if DOT decides to continue to waive the Road Tests, then go back in and cancel your scheduled Road Test if you choose to waive it.
This is Funny!
